Toscano Extravecchio is favored for its full-bodied, balanced taste of sweet, tangy spices with a slightly bitter aftertaste. It consists of 100% Italian Kentucky tobacco, which has gone through a double fermentation process. This gives the cigar a rounded, pleasant character and dilutes some of the intensely bitter edge found in other strong smoke cigars.
As with good wines, Toscano Extravecchio is aged for at least 9 months. The long fermentation and subsequent slow aging creates a robust, intense flavor which is never edgy. This high quality cigar is often acclaimed as 'molto impregnativo', which means very engaging in Italian, among industry professionals. It makes a satisfying smoke, particularly an ideal after-dinner cigar.
